Meet Mrs. Smith

The Smith Family

Hi. My name is Kristie Smith and I am your first grade teacher. I look forward to teaching you this year and getting to know you and your family. I am very excited to be a part of Rudolph G. Gordon Elementary and know it is going to be a great year! 

This year is my 21st year of teaching. I've taught 15 years in 1st and 2nd grades, and 6 years in 4th and 5th grades. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of South Carolina Upstate and my Master of Arts degree from Furman University. I am certified in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Reading. I have completed 30 hours above my Master's degree, and am National Board Certified in Early Childhood.

I live in Simpsonville with my husband Brad, my 11 year old daughter Taylor, and my 9 year old son Logan. I enjoy reading, running, obstacle racing, shopping, traveling, and spending time with my family.
