Classroom Prep, Day 1

Is it really time to work in my classroom? Summer is flying by, and I have a lot to do!  I always look forward to setting up my classroom for a new group of first graders! Today was the first day I worked in my class! This is what the room looked like when I arrived! Everything was put away for the summer. 

I had my kiddos with me and we worked for a few hours. I got most of the items off the cubbies and put in place. Next week I will finish putting items out and begin decorating!  This is the room when we left. 

My kids got the tables and chairs in place.

This is where the classroom library will be. My writing center will be in the back corner near the computers. 

This is the front of the room. I am going to redecorate the front boards next week. My math calendar area is in the background. I'll redo it as well this year.

The small group table is beside the door. I will be moving all my writing posters near my writing center. 

End of School

I wrapped up my 18th year of teaching in early June, 2014.  I am currently enjoying a relaxing summer with my two wonderful children and my hubby!

Meet the Teacher Night!

Meet the Teacher Night will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014!  The first session is from 4:30-5:15, and the second session is from 5:30-6:15.  I can't wait to meet my new Superkids!
